The Town of Horseshoe Beach needs your help!
We were so fortunate to have so many people volunteer their time, resources, and equipment after Hurricane Idalia. Now, we need to document all these efforts!
If you had friends, or family, or a company that came and donated time, equipment, or services, documenting that time with the town is critical for our operation. Donated resources are as follows: anyone that donated time or equipment to help our town including clean up, volunteering meals or cooking, security, debris removal, or other clean up. Examples include using dump trailers to remove debris, or providing meals to the town residents.
There is a form available at Town Hall which only takes a few minutes to complete. Simply add the date, name of the individual, the type of equipment used and the number of hours worked. Be sure to include travel time! We can also send and receive these forms via email - just reach out to horseshoebeachto@bellsouth.net and we will send you over a copy.
With these forms, it will be possible for the Town to reduce our cost share- the dollar amount the Town is directly responsible for related to Hurricane Idalia recovery. The money in the town coffers is the citizens’ money, so this cost is a cost to the citizens. Whatever we can do to reduce these costs will ultimately help the town and our citizens. We can’t do this without your help!
